AirBlock™ strip door curtains from Simplex offer versatility and reliability that cannot be found with any other product. They can be used with framing to create a cleanroom, or also used independently within an existing cleanroom to create areas that are still cleaner. Combined with our superior mounting systems, these curtains offer increased durability and functionality as well as easier access and the best protection.
AirBlock™ curtains are constructed from 48" wide sheets of 40 to 80 mil thick vinyl. These sheets are RF welded to form either solid walls or movable curtains. They are especially suitable for enclosing portable frame systems or improving laminar flow areas above work spaces. Strip door curtains can also used to further divide existing clean rooms, creating cleaner zones within your cleanroom.

Strip Door Curtain Features
AirBlock™ strip door curtains consist of overlapping individual strips, ideal for dividing cleanrooms, enclosing portable frame systems, conveyor openings or doorways where easy access is required. Simplex has developed patented mountings for fast installation of strip systems. The individual strips are designed to hang straight and maintain their overlaps. Our optional alternating clear and frosted non-stick design makes the AirBlock™ system the easiest to walk through. This feature also prevents gaps which cause air loss.

Curtain Materials
Simplex uses only the finest quality materials available. These materials have been specifically formulated and have been fully tested to meet our highest standards. This guarantees that you will receive the best vinyl product on the market.
All softwall materials are fully tested. Test results are available for flame retardancy, ESD, outgassing, sound abatement, chemical resistibility and light transmission. Contact us for complete test results on the material required.
Standard Vinyl
Simplex's standard cleanroom-grade vinyl is fire-retardant and is low outgassing. It is designed and formulated to resist yellowing, curling, and cracking, even in the harshest environments.
Anti-Static Vinyl
ESD anti-static vinyl from Simplex is manufactured with permanent built-in inhibitors. The PVC strips or curtains will not hold a charge, and attract less dust to their surface. Unlike topical coatings, these inhibitors will not wear off, and will last for the life of the curtain.
PolySim™
As a proprietary compound, not a PVC, PolySim™ is non-outgassing and non-blooming, allowing for minimal cleaning requirements. The PolySim™ formulation has permanent static dissipation properties, which do not wear off or diminish over time like anti-static vinyls do.
Laser & Light Blocking Curtains
These specially designed softwall and curtain systems are popular for enclosing or dividing areas for special processes, such as laser functions, photo lithography and use in other light sensitive work areas. Simplex's opaque black vinyl curtains block out 100% of the light transfer. The matte finish reduces light refraction. Curtains are also available with foil inserts for use with more powerful lasers. Simplex amber tinted curtains filter out various degrees of blue, yellow and harmful ultra-violet light. Light wavelength tests are available for our red and amber tint materials.
